JH Specialties Incorporated was started in Fall of 1989 by entrepreneurs volunteering time to the local Historical Society for its annual Luminaria campaign. The entire township lines and illuminates the streets with Luminarias every Christmas Eve. The LumaBase was developed and patented to replace the need for heavy messy sand that was used for every Luminaria. After noticing how popular Luminarias were in our small town and how the LumaBase made them easier and cleaner to use we decided to offer this solution to everyone. We now sell a variety of decorative Luminarias and accessories for special and seasonal occasions to event planners, neighborhoods, fundraising organizations, and retail stores.
