Summer STAY-CATION

You don’t have to travel someplace extravagant to have a great vacation! You can enjoy your time off at home and in the yard without spending too much!

Story time.
Gather the kiddies, pitch a tent and open up a favorite storybook. Consider adding solar string lights and tealight candles to illuminate into the dark hours.

Have a picnic.
Lay down a blanket or set up a table and unpack the basket of fresh goodies. There’s nothing more fun and wonderful than a picnic on a perfect-weather day. Don’t forget to add a lantern to the table for ambiance as the sun goes down.

Refresh a room.
Instead of spending loads of cash, just clear out, clean up and freshen up with a fragrant scented candle. Drape a string of fairy lights to add a touch of whimsey. Add a lighted wall art canvas to a darkened corner. Whatever you do, have fun with it and create a space you’ll want to relax in.

Kids summer party.
The children will love assisting you when getting ready and decorating for a summer kids party. Bake together with kids, have them blow up the balloons. Add splashes of color to your table. Have the kids decorate luminaria bags, add an LED tealight and watch their smiles as it begins to glow when the sun goes down.

Plan a relaxation day.
You work hard and deserve a little time to chill and relax…and reflect. Grab your favorite beach novel, sunglasses, fruity drink and unwind out on the deck. Add a citronella candle so not to be bugged by mosquitos.

Outdoor movie time.
Butter up popcorn and grab the gummy candies for an outdoor movie theater. Set up a home-made theater with a sheet surrounded by globe bulb lights, add the chairs and let the show begin.
